Illustration Friday: "Brave"

Hey everyone!  Illustration Friday (www.illustrationfriday.com) is a website that posts weekly challenges for artists.  Every week, the website posts a different word that artists can use as a launching point for their own interpretation.  This week's theme was 'brave,' so with baseball season soon upon us, I thought this picture might be appropriate.  It's also good practice because I need to work on my kid characters.  The picture was done in Photosop with a chalky brush (or at least that's what I call it).  As always, advice is always appreciated!  And have a great end of the week everyone!

And I think I might just have to get a Phillies hat on him when I get the time!

Valley Forge part 3, The Cabin

An oil painting of an old cabin at Valley Forge.  Throughout most of the year, it's pretty amazing to check out Valley Forge.  It's another thing though, to visit when the park is covered in snow.  I wonder what history this cabin holds?  Painting is 8"x10" on canvas.

Fine Art section added to gallery

I have recently added a Fine Art section on my main gallery page.  Here, I will be posting landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and other paintings that are not necessarily geared towards the children's book market.  I plan on adding more paintings as the next couple weeks goes by.  Thanks for visiting!

Valley Forge part 2, and some more lemons

Here is a tiny oil painting based on the same composition as the larger one.  This one is only 8x10 in.  This last lemon painting completes my tiny trilogy of lemon paintings.  Both paintings are now on sale at Hob Nob Home in Wayne, PA.
